Leaks don't announce themselves
By the time you can see a leak, it's usually been running for a while: a bill that jumped for no reason, a warm patch on the floor, mould creeping up a wall that was fine last winter. Water always wins against wishful thinking, and the damage bill grows by the week.
Finding it first, then fixing it
Guesswork with leaks means holes in walls that didn't need to be there. We isolate sections of your plumbing and test them one by one until the leak gives itself away, then open up only what has to be opened. On the repair side we handle burst and leaking pipes, dripping and leaking taps, running toilets, and the flexible hoses that cause a huge share of Australian home water damage.
Mystery bills, old pipes, nervous landlords
Homeowners chasing an unexplained water bill. Owners of older Toowoomba homes where original pipework is reaching its limit. Landlords and property managers who need a leak found, fixed and documented without drama.
The hunt, in order
-
Symptoms over the phone.
Bill history, damp spots, sounds, anything you've noticed.
-
Meter check and isolation testing.
We confirm water is escaping, then narrow down which section it's escaping from.
-
Pinpoint and show you.
You see where it is and why before we talk repairs.
-
Fix with the least disruption.
The repair gets quoted upfront, done, and tested against the meter.
Priced on the hunt plus the fix
Detection is charged against our standard hourly rate, and the repair is quoted separately once we know what and where the problem is. That way you're never paying blind: you'll know what the fix costs while the pipe is still open for inspection, not after.
Same-day when it counts
Luke came out the same day we called about a burst pipe. He was upfront with pricing, quick to fix the issue, and left the place spotless. Highly recommend.

Leak questions
How do I know if I've got a hidden leak?
Turn off every tap and appliance that uses water, then watch your water meter for ten minutes. If it's still ticking over, water is going somewhere it shouldn't. Bring that observation to the call; it saves time on site.
Is a burst pipe an emergency?
Treat it like one: turn the water off at the mains first. Existing clients can reach us 24/7 with a call-out fee for after-hours work; if you're new to us, call during business hours and we'll get to you as fast as the day allows.
How much does leak detection cost?
Detection time is billed at our standard plumbing rate of $135+GST per hour, and the repair is quoted before it starts. A found leak is almost always cheaper than a month more of the water bill it was causing.
Do you replace flexible hoses?
Yes, and we recommend replacing flexi hoses every 5 years. They're one of the most common causes of water damage in Australian homes, and swapping them is quick insurance.
Paying for water you never use?
Do the ten-minute meter check, then call. Luke will find where it's going and put a price on stopping it.
