How gas fitting is priced
Gas work is quoted before it starts, like everything we do. Appliance connections are usually quick; new lines depend on the run and the access. The hourly rate is in the FAQ below, and it never applies without you seeing a quote first.

What should I do if I smell gas?
Turn the gas off at the meter or bottle, open windows and doors, and don't operate switches or flames. Then call Luke on 0417 792 006 and we'll treat it as a priority.
How much does gas fitting cost per hour?
Gas fitting work is $150+GST per hour, and we'll always give you a clear quote before any work starts so the rate never becomes a surprise.
Do you work on both LPG and natural gas?
Yes. Town homes on mains natural gas and rural properties on LPG bottles both get the same licensed installation, testing and certification.
What is a gas compliance certificate?
It's the document certifying the gas work on your property was done by a licensed gas fitter to the required standard. You get one with the work; insurers, landlords and buyers ask for them.
Can you install my new gas cooktop or oven?
Yes. We connect and commission gas appliances, test for leaks, and certify the installation before we leave.
